CELEBRATES COMMUNITY, SERVICE AND SUCCESS!

Ocean Township, NJ – The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) held their Annual Installation and Awards Luncheon of Tuesday, March 19 at The Renaissance, Ocean Township.

Four local students and 8 community leaders were acknowledged for their achievements and contributions to the Greater Ocean Township Community.

High school seniors, Joseph Valentino, Andrew Billy, Kiernan Gallagher, (OTHS) and Gerard Flynn (MAST) were the 2024 recipients of the ‘Friends of the GOTCC’ scholarships.

This year’s Community Ambassador Award was posthumously awarded to Peter S. Falvo. GOTCC awarded the Longevity Award, Business to James Vaccaro from Manasquan Bank in honor of their 150th anniversary.

Jessie Joseph, Municipal Clerk, Ocean Township received the Longevity Award, Individual in recognition of her 34 years of service to the Township of Ocean.

The GOTCC Beautification Award went to Jim Mack, Post Commander VFW 2226 Group for his efforts to create the new Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Deal Road.

Kelly Weldon, Superintendent of Township of Ocean Schools received the Educational Ambassador Award, while Christen Carinha General Manager at Miller’s Ale House received the 2024 Newcomer Award.

The 2024 Outstanding Community Service Award went to Robert Pacenza, Rising Treetops, in recognition of the organization’s services for children and adults with disabilities. A surprise GOTCC Years of Service award was presented to Marty Arbus, a founding member of the Chamber and longest-serving Honorary Member.

For over three decades, the Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC), a member-based non-profit organization has promoted the business community in the Township of Ocean and surrounding towns; and given back to the community through a variety of outreach programs.
