Ocean Township, NJ – The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) is now accepting applications for the 2024 scholarship program. The online application is available on the GOTCC.org website. The annual scholarship program has been expanded to include high school seniors who live in Asbury Park, Eatontown, Neptune, Tinton Falls, and the Township of Ocean (Monmouth County) regardless of the high school they attend. The eligible applicant may also live outside these municipalities if they are a child or grandchild of a GOTCC member-in-good standing. The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce’s mission with the scholarship program is to help defray college expenses for well-rounded college-bound students who excel in areas beyond academics including extracurricular activities (both school-related and external activities) and their involvement and support of our community. Multiple scholarships will be awarded in March. The winning students will be honored at a GOTCC luncheon along with local community leaders at a date and location to be determined. The deadline for applications is February 5, 2024. All students are asked to follow the instructions carefully and give adequate time to guidance counselors for the preparation of transcripts. Supporting documentation that is not attached to the application can be mailed or dropped off at the GOTCC office inside the Board of Education building at 163 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. All donations to the annual scholarship program will be greatly appreciated. Kindly send a check to ‘Friends of the Greater Ocean Township Chamber’ (501 c 3) organization, 163 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, NJ 07755.
