Donald Brockel, Deal Lake Commission
The GOTCC will pay tribute to Donald Brockel who is being honored for his years of service to the Deal Lake Commission. Under Don’s leadership and guidance, the Deal Lake Commission received the prestigious 2022 Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award in the category of Watershed Management and Water Resources.
Mr. Brockel has educated our community, served as a liaison between lakeside communities, County agencies and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection and secured grant money to continue the mission to preserve and restore Deal Lake and its tributaries as a healthy and stable ecosystem.
