Small Business Startup 101 Draws Engaged Crowd for Practical, Real‑World Guidance

The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce hosted an energizing and well-attended Small Business Startup 101 program, co‑sponsored with the Ocean Township Library. The event brought together entrepreneurs, new business owners, and community members eager to learn the foundational elements of launching and growing a successful small business.

A Three‑Part Program Designed for Real‑World Success

The session featured three Chamber leaders, each offering actionable insights from their respective areas of expertise:

  • Regina Longo — Executive Director of the Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce Regina highlighted the power of networking, community engagement, and the tangible benefits of joining a local Chamber. She emphasized how strategic relationship‑building accelerates visibility, credibility, and long‑term business growth.
  • Robert Hazelrigg — Branding & Marketing Consultant Robert delivered a dynamic presentation on digital‑age marketing, including how small businesses can leverage artificial intelligence to streamline content creation, improve consistency, and avoid common marketing pitfalls. His “dos and don’ts” offered attendees immediate steps to strengthen their brand presence.
  • Perry Weyser, CPA, CFP® — Goode & Weyser Perry provided clear, accessible guidance on taxes and accounting for small businesses, helping attendees understand compliance, planning, and the financial structures needed to support sustainable growth.

An Evening of Learning, Connection, and Community Support
