2023 Community Service Award Winners.
Ocean Township, NJ – The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) held their Annual Awards & Installation Luncheon on Tuesday, March 21 at The Renaissance, Ocean Township.
Four local students and five community leaders were acknowledged for their achievements and contributions to the Greater Ocean Township Community. Two award recipients were also recognized for their contributions to the Chamber.
High school seniors, Jane Alto, Chelsea DeLalla, Abigail Kowaliwskyj, Edward Shamie and were the 2023 recipients of the GOTCC scholarships.
This year’s GOTCC Community Ambassador Award went to Former Mayor Christopher Siciliano for his more than 20 years of public service to the Township of Ocean including eight years as Mayor.
GOTCC also recognized Dr. David Stout, President of Brookdale Community College for his great influence and impact at Brookdale and as a longtime leader in the State and within our business community. Dr. Stout received the 2023 Educational Ambassador Award.
This year’s Longevity Award went to Eugene Dente, Owner, of Fences by Dente celebrating 50 years in business. Eugene was selected for his many contributions and continued support of the Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce and our local community
President, Denise Parlamas and Community Hope Fund were acknowledged for Outstanding Community Service for 2023. Community Hope Fund has been supporting youth development and assisting with charitable needs for the Township of Ocean and surrounding communities for many years.
The GOTCC awarded Donald Brockel the 2023 Environmental / Sustainability Award. Mr. Brockel was honored for his years of service to the Deal Lake Commission.
This year the GOTCC also honored some of their own, paying tribute to Katherine King (Kearny Bank) and John ‘Doc’ Amato for their decades of service. Both past board members were awarded GOTCC Years of Service Awards for their contributions to the Chamber.
For over three decades, the Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC), a member-based non-profit organization has promoted the business community in the Township of Ocean and surrounding counties in NJ; and given back to the community through a variety of outreach programs.
