GOTCC VCS HR ‘Golfing Fore Heroes’ Classic

Raises Funds to Support Local First Responders

Ocean Township, NJ – The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) hosted its 2026 VCS HR ‘Golfing Fore Heroes’ Classic on Monday, September 14, at Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune, bringing together local businesses, community leaders, golfers and supporters to honor and raise funds for the men and women who serve our communities.

Held the week of Patriot Day, a National Day of Service and Remembrance, the event took on special significance this year as the nation marked the 25th anniversary of September 11. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Township of Ocean Police Department and the Asbury Park, Oakhurst and Wanamassa Fire Departments.

The afternoon began with a special presentation by the Township of Ocean Police Department Honor Guard, which led golfers and guests in the Pledge of Allegiance before the start of the tournament.

Following an afternoon of golf, guests gathered for a cocktail reception and buffet dinner, along with awards, contests and a celebration of the first responders who serve the local community.

The event was made possible through the generous support of Title Sponsor VCS HR and Silver Sponsors Bee Gone Pest Control, Minuteman Press, New Jersey Natural Gas, MRA International, Stavola Realty and Troller Electric.

The GOTCC also recognized its 2026 Corporate Sponsors – VCS HR, Family First Urgent Care, Manasquan Bank and Seaview Orthopaedics – whose year-round support helps the Chamber provide programs, events and services for the local business community.

Additional event sponsors included Encompass Health, Dinner Sponsor; New Jersey State PBA, Lunch Sponsor; Miller’s Ale House, Cocktail Reception Sponsor; Siegel Law, Beverage Cart Sponsor; and Morgan Stanley, The Shoreline Group, Golf Cart Sponsors.

Special contests and activities were also supported by local businesses, including Dreyer’s Lumber and SERVPRO, Closest-to-the-Pin Sponsors; Lola’s Asbury Park and i-AV-Pro, Longest Drive Sponsors; and Shipwreck’d and The Perfume Spot, sponsors of the $5,000 Putting Contest.

The GOTCC also extends its appreciation to the many local businesses and friends of the Chamber who sponsored tee signs throughout the course, as well as media sponsors Asbury Park Press/LocaliQ, Press Communications and The Coaster for helping promote the event.

“Golfing Fore Heroes is about much more than a day on the golf course,” said Regina Longo, Executive Director of the Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce. “It gives our business community an opportunity to come together, remember those we lost, honor those who serve, and give back to the first responders who are there for us every day. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s event possible.”

The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce thanks all the golfers, sponsors, volunteers and community supporters who helped make the 2026 GOTCC VCS HR ‘Golfing Fore Heroes’ Classic a meaningful celebration of service, community and remembrance.
