GOTCC’s VCS HR “Golfing Fore Heroes” Classic Returns September 14 to Benefit Local First Responders

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) invites golfers, businesses and community supporters to participate in the annual VCS HR Golfing Fore Heroes Classic on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune. Registration is now open at www.gotcc.org.

Held each year in conjunction with Patriot Day – A National Day of Service and Remembrance, the tournament serves as a fundraiser benefiting the Township of Ocean Police Department and the Asbury Park, Oakhurst and Wanamassa Fire Departments. Proceeds from the event help recognize and support the dedicated first responders who serve our community every day.

“This event is about more than a day on the golf course,” said Regina Longo, Executive Director of the Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce. “It’s an opportunity for our business community to come together, build relationships, and give back to the police officers and firefighters who dedicate themselves to protecting our neighborhoods. We are proud to continue this tradition of supporting our local heroes.”

The day begins with registration and lunch at 12:00 p.m., followed by a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start on one of the Jersey Shore’s premier private golf courses. Golfers will enjoy a full afternoon on the course before gathering for a 6:00 p.m. cocktail reception and buffet dinner.

Participants will compete for exciting prizes, including a Hole-in-One Contest, Closest-to-the-Pin, Longest Drive, a $5,000 Putting Challenge, and additional contests throughout the day.

The Chamber is proud to recognize VCS HR, the official payroll provider of the Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce, as the event’s Presenting Sponsor. The registration fee is $325 per golfer, which includes lunch, golf, contests, cocktail reception and buffet dinner. Special discounted rates are available for veterans, active-duty military personnel and first responders. Guests who do not wish to golf are welcome to attend the evening cocktail reception and buffet dinner for $95 per person.
